Love Fridays! Met Kings at home, decided to pick up Aaron and drive to Georgia to get lottery tickets and 40s. Hysterical random road trip! The lines were nuts at all the gas stations in Kingsland. Made it back to Jax and drank said 40s on Aaron’s porch. Rode bikes to Bold City after we ran out of beer, ended the night starving at Kickbacks. PYTHON! FIRE HEAD! The boys are ridiculous and retarded funny.

Pretty low key Thursday. Watched 30 Rock, and relaxed at home with Kings.

Since there weren’t any events I went home early - pulled weeds, cleaned the patio and porch. Called Connie and booked our European cruise! Kings got home and made coconut rice and we headed over to the Greene house. Ate dinner, played with Tucker then a couple of hours of Mario Kart. That damn game, I need more practice before we play again! Super fun either way.

Long day at work, day 2 of the Cage Festival meant getting home by 10pm. Dinner with Kingsley then sleeping.

Woke up and rolled over to Amber’s to hang by the pool. Due to not entirely covering myself with I have a retarded sunburn. We had a nice chat about moving and grad school and the boys. Kings came home early from work so I got to see him before I left for yet another MOCA event. Gave him the grocery list and headed out. Fixed another set up issues and spent most of the time there chatting with Carl. Home after 10pm to eat a late dinner with Kings.

Another morning of not having to wake up early! Went out to lunch at Tijuana Flats followed by frozen custard at Rita’s. Frozen custard is my new favorite thing since we went to Miami. Walked around the town center, bought a few new shirts for the cruise and a tie for kings. Went to CoRK later for there big art day, not at all what was expected…lots of hula hoops and drum circles. Spent a relaxing night in with Kings.

Got to sleep in late. Had a lovely morning with Kings. Ate Indochine leftovers and headed to MOCA for the lecture. I won’t go into detail because it sucked but long story short everything that could go wrong did, however at the end I think everything was fine. Headed home and enjoyed not working.

It’s Friday! Aaron and I went to lunch at Indochine, delicious as always. Camp is over for now. Had dinner with Kings at home then headed to CoRK to meet up with Aaron and Alana. Spent the night meandering from the gallery to bold city to intuition where we played corn hole till they closed. I’m somewhat better at corn hole than Kings, woot!

Super long day at work, Mark Licari’s member’s preview. Kings came and met me at MOCA. Liz also came out! Aaron, Liz, Charlotte, Manuel, Carl, Erin, Kings and I all went McCools afterwards for dinner. Liz fed Carl and Kings cookies on the way over. I drove home at what felt like the middle of the night but was really only 11pm - camp and waking up early ruins my life, haha!

Hmm, trying to remember anything good or significant either of these days and all that comes to mind is work. I was very excited for 5pm and going home - I know that!

First day of spring break camp. Not looking forward to summer camp! When I got home we grocery shopped and finally picked up my new bike. Super excited to go riding!

Woke up and packed. Checked out of the hotel and headed to the Garden District for bagels and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. I’m glad we made it this time, it was super cool. Picked up garbage baby and drove around the ninth ward, looks like it is way better now but still a rough area. On the road by the afternoon, had to stop in Mississippi for some lunch (pizza obviously) then continued on the long trek home. After dropping off the kids, Kings and I were home by 11:15pm. Showered and unpacked in under an hour!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Also, open portfolio day. Kingsley showed again for the fourth year running. He stole a table during the second session instead of waiting all the way till 4pm. Did not buy very much…actually didn’t buy anything at all. Left the conference by 2pm and walked around the french quarter with Kings. Ended up eating at Hard Rock where Ryan and Katy met up with us. They’re cool kids, it’s be nice to chill with them more. Started the room drinking early this night with the whole gang before we headed out to wolfbat. To sum up that event let’s just say it was totally underwhelming. To make up for that we ate Thai food for dinner, too bad the restaurant was slow as balls. Made our way back to Bourbon street for people watching and drinks, ended the night much later at an Irish pub and cafe du monde.

Friday morning we all got a slow start. Kings, Zach, and Paul headed off to a lecture while Amber and I went to find food. Catty Shack diner did the trick, tasty sandwiches. Walked to riverwalk, it was a really pretty day out. Boys met us there and ate at a sports bar. Went and bought hot sauce for Chase and a Christmas ornament for ourselves. We went and met up with grumpy Garvey and Amanda to explore the gallery district. The Arthur Roger Gallery had some really nice stuff. Kings, Zach, Plamber and I walked up 14 flights to get to our room that night because so many people showed up to our hotel for the holiday. Did the gallery walk that night, only good gallery was The Front, bought two super rad prints. We ate dinner at this awesome place called Butcher then chilled and room drank the rest of the night.

Thursday morning kings got up to register and when he got back we realized that there was nothing good going on with the conference that day so we headed off to NOMA. Attempted to use the trolley system which is literally the most inefficient transportation of my life. Made it halfway there and then walked. The museum has a great collection but some ridiculous garden show was going on and they had hideous flowers in front of all the work. The sculpture garden made up for it though, that was great. I wish we could have spent more time there but we were starving. Found a legit Mexican place to eat. Wandered for awhile - regrouped at the hotel, rode the trolley out to the garden district and headed to the CAC. Dinner at a random quick spot then out drinking for the night. Trekked out to a place called the country club, aka a gay bar with a clothes optional pool. From there we headed to a dance club to meet the bigger group, more drinking, dancing and drag queens followed by another middle of the night meal.
