Love Fridays! Met Kings at home, decided to pick up Aaron and drive to Georgia to get lottery tickets and 40s. Hysterical random road trip! The lines were nuts at all the gas stations in Kingsland. Made it back to Jax and drank said 40s on Aaron’s porch. Rode bikes to Bold City after we ran out of beer, ended the night starving at Kickbacks. PYTHON! FIRE HEAD! The boys are ridiculous and...

Pretty low key Thursday. Watched 30 Rock, and relaxed at home with Kings.
3/28
Since there weren’t any events I went home early - pulled weeds, cleaned the patio and porch. Called Connie and booked our European cruise! Kings got home and made coconut rice and we headed over to the Greene house. Ate dinner, played with Tucker then a couple of hours of Mario Kart. That damn game, I need more practice before we play again! Super fun either way.

Long day at work, day 2 of the Cage Festival meant getting home by 10pm. Dinner with Kingsley then sleeping.
3/26
Woke up and rolled over to Amber’s to hang by the pool. Due to not entirely covering myself with I have a retarded sunburn. We had a nice chat about moving and grad school and the boys. Kings came home early from work so I got to see him before I left for yet another MOCA event. Gave him the grocery list and headed out. Fixed another set up issues and spent most of the time there chatting...

Another morning of not having to wake up early! Went out to lunch at Tijuana Flats followed by frozen custard at Rita’s. Frozen custard is my new favorite thing since we went to Miami. Walked around the town center, bought a few new shirts for the cruise and a tie for kings. Went to CoRK later for there big art day, not at all what was expected…lots of hula hoops and drum circles....

Got to sleep in late. Had a lovely morning with Kings. Ate Indochine leftovers and headed to MOCA for the lecture. I won’t go into detail because it sucked but long story short everything that could go wrong did, however at the end I think everything was fine. Headed home and enjoyed not working.
3/23
It’s Friday! Aaron and I went to lunch at Indochine, delicious as always. Camp is over for now. Had dinner with Kings at home then headed to CoRK to meet up with Aaron and Alana. Spent the night meandering from the gallery to bold city to intuition where we played corn hole till they closed. I’m somewhat better at corn hole than Kings, woot!

Super long day at work, Mark Licari’s member’s preview. Kings came and met me at MOCA. Liz also came out! Aaron, Liz, Charlotte, Manuel, Carl, Erin, Kings and I all went McCools afterwards for dinner. Liz fed Carl and Kings cookies on the way over. I drove home at what felt like the middle of the night but was really only 11pm - camp and waking up early ruins my life, haha!

Hmm, trying to remember anything good or significant either of these days and all that comes to mind is work. I was very excited for 5pm and going home - I know that!

First day of spring break camp. Not looking forward to summer camp! When I got home we grocery shopped and finally picked up my new bike. Super excited to go riding!

Woke up and packed. Checked out of the hotel and headed to the Garden District for bagels and Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. I’m glad we made it this time, it was super cool. Picked up garbage baby and drove around the ninth ward, looks like it is way better now but still a rough area. On the road by the afternoon, had to stop in Mississippi for some lunch (pizza obviously) then continued on the...

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Also, open portfolio day. Kingsley showed again for the fourth year running. He stole a table during the second session instead of waiting all the way till 4pm. Did not buy very much…actually didn’t buy anything at all. Left the conference by 2pm and walked around the french quarter with Kings. Ended up eating at Hard Rock where Ryan and Katy met up with...

Friday morning we all got a slow start. Kings, Zach, and Paul headed off to a lecture while Amber and I went to find food. Catty Shack diner did the trick, tasty sandwiches. Walked to riverwalk, it was a really pretty day out. Boys met us there and ate at a sports bar. Went and bought hot sauce for Chase and a Christmas ornament for ourselves. We went and met up with grumpy Garvey and Amanda to...

Thursday morning kings got up to register and when he got back we realized that there was nothing good going on with the conference that day so we headed off to NOMA. Attempted to use the trolley system which is literally the most inefficient transportation of my life. Made it halfway there and then walked. The museum has a great collection but some ridiculous garden show was going on and they had...

Traveling really throws this thing off. Let’s see what I can remember…Wednesday = time to road trip! We were out of the house and over to Aaron’s by 9am, quick pit stop at Einstein Bros for tasty bagels then we hit I-10. Florida takes forever to leave, Alabama and Mississippi go by pretty quick. Stopped in Alabama for some fast food and a BK crown for Garvey. Hit New Orleans by...
3/12 & 3/13
Monday we prepped for the trip, and bought supplies. Can’t remember much else except being busy. Tuesday was bananas at work, literally felt like I was running the whole day to get everything squared away before I left…the upside is that I finished. We went to dinner at Mellow with Rach, Tuck, Tom and his co-workers. Came home and slowly packed, in bed at 12:30am - time change Sunday...

Up by 9am even after a late night and the whole spring forward thing. Threw on a bathing suit and laid by the pool with Kings. He literally willed a child to fall in the waterfall - we almost died laughing. Ordered breakfast poolside and enjoyed the sun. Went back to the room around 11 to pack everything back up and get Aaron out of bed. We checked out by noon and headed to MAM. They have a really...

Aaron showed up at our place on time! We hit the road a little before 9am and even with three stops we made it by 2pm. It rained on us the way down but as soon as we hit Miami it was bright and sunny. Ate at Fado’s Pub for lunch, went back and chilled at the hotel/got ready for the party. Made a useless trip to Lincoln Rd but got to eat frozen custard from Shake Shack which is amazing....

It’s Friday! Summer Camp has been mostly planned out at this point so that’s one less huge thing for me to worry about at work. Left a bit early and came home to relax, paint my nails and pack. Kings made delicious turkey meatballs for dinner. My sister turned 14 today, super weird to think about.
3/8
Super long day at work but got the girls together and went to see Liz’s bakery. It’s really cute and she looks happy - plus she makes delicious cupcakes! Got home at 11:15pm to the husband, some mellow pizza and the 30 rock I missed.

COLDPLAY TICKETS ARE HERE!!! UH-MAZING. I’m obviously a little excited to be seeing them live in concert this summer.

gym day again. my foot is about 90% recovered which has improved my mood greatly. chill night at home.
3/5
Finally got my highlights done again! Otherwise just a nice productive day.
3/4
Finally back at the gym…and am still losing weight even though it had been almost a month! Chase and Hannah came over for dinner. We made homemade pizza, drank beer and tried Chason’s moonshine that he brought over.
3/3
Worked the JaxKids Day event downtown. Went to lunch with Kings at hurricanes, good food and we were pretty much stuffed for the rest of the day. Walked the Town Center - bought new shoes for summer and a necklace to complete my Miami outfit for next weekend. Finished off the day by hanging out with the Greenes. Oh, and two more bikes sold today!
3/1
Today I got to have dinner in Cafe Nola with Carl, Al Letson, James Greene and David Le Batard. Hopefully Kings, Aaron and I will get to visit David’s studio next weekend.
3/2
Not only did I finish everything on my work to-do list today, I did it in time to leave work early. Later, after Kings got home we had a skype date with Kelly & Joey. Then Amber and Paul came over for a delicious honey sesame chicken dinner. Pretty awesome Friday.
March
Okay, so the goal for March is to post at least one good/cool thing about my day each day. It is going to be one big stress-ball of a month so hopefully this will help…

“And so I go, crying and laughing and spilling shit along the way. I thought in quitting , I would gain perspective, maybe achieve enlightenment. I thought I could find the god I have so desperately searched for. I never did. That could have been a crushing blow, but I found something else, something wonderful and blasphemous. I realized I get to wake up every morning, happy or not. Lots of...

What is your “Epic Shit”? →
“Close your eyes. (Well, leave them open so you can read, just pretend to close them). Imagine yourself 99 years old and sitting on a porch in a rocking chair. How will you finish this sentence:
“I wish I would have_________”
Whatever is there, is your epic shit. Go now.”
This is basically my philosophy for life in a blog post.
